On the May public holiday (Monday 30th May) and Jubilee (Friday 03rd June), GPs and most pharmacies will be closed across NHSGGC.
Services will resume normal opening hours outside of those dates.
We would remind any patients requiring repeat prescriptions written or fulfilled to contact your GP and, or, pharmacy ahead of the closures to ensure that you have enough medicine to last.
Over the holidays, if you need to see a GP and it can’t wait until services reopen, please call NHS 24 on 111 to access our Out of Hours service. To find your nearest GP, please visit the NHSGGC website here.
A full list of pharmacies open on both holidays is available here.
For more general information on accessing medicines if you have run out, please visit NHS Inform here.
All of NHSGGC’s acute sites will continue operating as normal throughout the public holidays and weekend.
Remember, if you think you need to go to A&E and it’s not life-threatening, you may be seen and treated faster by calling NHS24 on 111. This will give you access our new virtual A&E service – the Flow Navigation Centre – where you assessed by an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Find out more about the Flow Navigation Centre here.
