REMEMBER THOSE WHO DIED IN FLANDERS FIELDS

This Armistice Day, Don aged 102 , is working tirelessly to make sure the stories of veterans are never forgotten.
Don was a D-Day soldier, and still has a piece of shrapnel in his lung from the Normandy landings. Don, who lives with his wife Sandra, said: “The Pitsea war memorial has been there for nearly 100 years (and) I will be there, laying a wreath.” He has also visited three schools this week to share stories and explain how he was called up at the age of 20. Don said, “it is important that children know these stories and learn about the history, and I’ve been able to help”.  We want to say thank you to Don, and all the Veterans involved in the war efforts. #LestWeForget
