REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY 2022 SERVICES

Lord Speaker John McFall, formerly MP for Dumbarton, and Sir Lindsay Hoyle, Speaker of the House of Commons, were amongst the dignitaries who attended the annual Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph in Whitehall this morning. The service was conducted by the Bishop of London, the Very Rev Sarah Mullaly. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was also in attendance as was Sir Keith Starmer, leader of the Labour Party and Ian Blackford, leader of the SNP at Westminster.  Provost Douglas McAllister led the tributes on behalf of West Dunbartonshire Council on Remembrance Sunday, laying a wreath at the War Memorial at Clydebank Town Hall. The ceremony was one of many services taking place across West Dunbartonshire today. #RemembranceSunday
