Covid-19 and flu drop-ins available at clinics across West Dunbartonshire

Vaccination drop-ins will be available at a number of community clinics across NHSGGC from this weekend.

Over the next three weeks, there will be opportunities for eligible members of the public to drop-in to receive their vaccination at certain clinics in each local authority area.

The service will initially be available to those over the age of 65, front line health and social care staff, or for people who have not yet had a first or second COVID 19 vaccination.

Anne Harkness, NHSGGC Vaccination Programme Director, said: “We are pleased to be offering drop-in services for those who are eligible or who have not yet had their initial COVID vaccinations.

“Previous drop-in services have been a great success and we would encourage those eligible for a Flu or COVID vaccination to attend one of our clinics.

“We would like to encourage members of the public who are eligible for a vaccination, especially those who are under the age of 65, to continue to book appointments through NHS Inform as this will help to avoid potential queues at vaccination centres. However, we recognise that some people would rather utilise a drop-in opportunity, which is why we are pleased to be able to offer this service once again.

“I would like to pass my sincere thanks to the members of NHS staff who have been involved in the roll out of vaccination programme for their hard work and commitment throughout.”
