Repeat appeal for information following fatal road crash on A82, near the Stoneymollen roundabout

Police from the Road Policing Unit at Dumbarton are re-appealing for information following a fatal road crash on the A82 near the Stoneymollen roundabout at Balloch on Thursday, 24 November.
Around 6.45pm, police were called to a road crash involving a black Ford Fiesta and a black Ford Focus with a trailer.
Emergency services attended, however the 22-year-old driver,  of the Ford Fiesta, whose family have requested that he should not be identified at this time,  was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sergeant Archie McGuire said: “Our thoughts remain with the family of the man who died.  As our investigation continues, I would like to-re-appeal for witnesses to this crash.
“The road was busy and we know that there are a number of people who stopped at the time, who had left before police arrival and I would urge them to contact us as they may have information that is important.
“We are continuing to study CCTV and I would ask drivers who were driving behind the vehicles involved, or who were on this area of road at the time to contact us as soon as possible.  if they have any dash-cam or personal footage.
“Any witnesses, or anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference 2738 of 24 November, 2022.”
