The A82 Milton – Old Kilpatrick southbound, which is the main route to Clydebank, the Erskine Bridge and Glasgow, is closed southbound after the Dunglass Roundabout, this is due to an unstable verge. Road users should follow the signed diversion route and expect longer than normal travelling times.
It’s not pretty out there.
Chris Doc asked folk on Facebook: “Anybody thinking off being fly and going the Stockiemuir road to avoid the absolute traffic chaos trying to get out of Dumbarton….DONT…..cos that completely closed as well…..oh well, back hame it is.”

William Cochrane wrote: “I went across Stockiemuir about an hour and a half ago and it was fine, must’ve closed since. Did you try to go via Croftamie per chance Chris Doc? Road between Croftamie and Stockiemuir has been shut for over a year…need to go the other way towards Balfron Station then head towards Stockiemuir from there.”
