The body of a man was discovered after a house fire in Renton West Dunbartonshire early on Saturday morning.
Fire crews were called to reports of a blaze at a property in Tontine Park, Renton, at around 7 am on March 25.
Emergency services attended and discovered the body of a man inside the flat.
Police Scotland confirmed that the death is being treated as suspicious and an investigation is under way.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “On Saturday, March 25, police were made aware of a fire at a flat in Tontine Park in Renton. Emergency services attended and the body of a man was found within.
“Officers are treating the death as suspicious and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
“Additional officers will be in the area to provide reassurance to the local community. Anyone with concerns can approach these officers.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 6.59am on Saturday, March 25 to reports of a house fire in Tontine Park, Renton.
“Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene and the fire was extinguished.”
