Jackie Baillie is urging groups across West Dunbartonshire to make an application to a £2 million cash pot from Historic Environment Scotland for projects which help support Scotland’s diverse building stock and historic environment.

Grants of between £1000 and £500,000 are now available with applications for the smallest amounts, referred to as express grants being accepted all year round.

To be considered for funding, applicants must be able to show their project can contribute to key priority areas for Historic Environment Scotland which include engagement, place making, repair and resilience, climate action, skills and the economy.

Jackie Baillie, Dumbarton constituency MSP, said: “I would encourage local groups from the Dumbarton, Vale of Leven, Helensburgh and Lomond area who fit the criteria to apply to this fund.

“I welcome steps by Historic Environment Scotland to invest in buildings and our historic environment so it is preserved for future generations.

“I am hopeful that my constituency can benefit from some of this funding and look forward to hearing more about the successful projects in future.”
