A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Renton.
Charles Wilson, left, was found dead in a flat following a fire on Saturday morning.
Police and Fire Brigade were called to the in the flat at around 7am.
After the blaze was extinguished, Mr Wilson’s body was discovered inside a bedroom.
Following a post-mortem examination police said they were treating the death as murder.
A probe has begun and detectives from Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team are working on the case.
Police Scotland confirmed today that an arrest had been made. A spokeswoman said: “Following an investigation into the death of Charles Wilson in Renton, officers have arrested a 42-year-old man. Inquiries are continuing.”
