HEALTH: What is the Primary Care Strategy?

Help us transform our Primary Care services

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is developing a Primary Care Strategy to help shape the future of primary care services.

To understand what matters most to people when it comes to primary care, we are engaging with our patients, communities, staff and those who provide services on our behalf.

If you’d like to get involved, please share your views by completing this short survey Transforming Primary Care Services  by Tuesday 18th April 2023.

We are also planning a series of engagement events across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. If you would like to be notified of events in your area please email your name, email address and the first part of your postcode e.g. G12 to: Public.Involvement@ggc.scot.nhs.uk

More about Primary Care

Primary care services provide the first point of contact in the healthcare system, acting as the ‘front door’ of the NHS. Primary care includes general practice (GP’s), community pharmacy, dental and optometry (eye health) services.

What is the Primary Care Strategy?

The strategy will set out a shared vision for primary care along with a clear plan to deliver the change needed.  Our vision is for people who use our services to be informed, empowered and able to access the right professional care at the right time. This includes being able to remain at or near home wherever possible.

If you have any questions about this survey please get in touch with the Patient Experience Public Involvement Team using the email address above. Thank you.
