SPORT: MATCH SPONSOR V STRANRAER – PAUL MCDONALD

Paul is a long-term supporter of the club and has volunteered at a number of events across the years, as well on a match day and with the Sons Supporters Trust.  Paul and his family are sponsoring the game in memory of his late father, Alan, who was also a lifelong Son of The Rock and enjoyed a day in hospitality himself.  We hope Paul and the rest of his party enjoy their day at The Rock, said a Sons’ spokesperson.

CLUB POET STEPHEN WATT HANGS UP HIS QUILL

Stephen has performed at a number of events at DFC across the years and was a regular contributor to the match day programme, with more than 100 entries to SonsView.

He has also represented the Sons on the national stage at poetry competitions across the UK.

Stephen was behind the iconic ‘Diddy Cups’ poem in the build-up to the Irn-Bru Cup final in 2018, which can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/1_G7PrqqelU

His final contribution for the club was this weekend’s programme against Stranraer, copies of which will be available around the stadium before kick-off.

“Stephen departs with all our best wishes for the future and we are looking forward to seeing him back at The Rock again very soon,” a club spokesperson said.
