Scotrail had announced on Tuesday afternoon that a power cable had fallen onto the line near Connel Ferry.
This had been preventing trains from serving any stations on the Oban-Crianlarich section of the West Highland Line since 1.30 pm.
The 4.11 pm Oban-Dalmally and 5.05 pm Dalmally-Oban services were cancelled, but the 4.34 pm Glasgow Queen Street-Oban and 6.11 pm Oban-Crianlarich services are now expected to run as scheduled.
Phil Campbell, ScotRail Head of Customer Operations, said: “We’re sorry to customers who have experienced disruption to their journey as a result of this incident, and share their frustrations.
“Anyone who’s been delayed by 30 minutes or more is entitled to claim compensation through our Delay Repay Guarantee. Just keep hold of your tickets and claim on the ScotRail website or mobile app.”
