Pupils from Our Lady of Loretto Primary in Dalmuir were given a soccer treat when Scotland captain John McGinn, who plays for top English premier league club Aston Villa, and his brother John, who is a Scotland and Hibernian player, turned up at their school to give them an insight into the beautiful game.
The McGinn boys, who are proud Bankies but have strong Dumbarton family connections, went to school at St Stephen’s in Dalmuir, were joined by Celtic Scottish Cup winning star Chloe Norma Craig at the official opening of the Multi Use Games Area.
The Convener of West Dunbartonshire Council Education Services, Councillor Clare Steel, welcomed the male players and Chloe Norma Craig, a star from women’s football.
The pupils were excited to meet the players and show off their football skills on their new pitch.
“The X3G multi-purpose pitch will be used for sports and games and is a welcome addition to the outdoor space at the school,” a council spokesperson said.

Chloe Norma Craig, a Celtic Scottish Cup winning star from women’s football, shows the pupils how to take a penalty kick.
