The Scottish Parliament is back today and I had a great first day on the Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee.
Today we discussed Community Empowerment and the New Deal for Local Government.
I challenged the SNP Minister on lines of accountability under the New Deal.
The Verity House Agreement must not be used by the SNP to pass the buck onto local councils who are forced to make cuts due to the SNP’s chronic under-funding of Scottish councils.
