POLICE: NO PLACE FOR DRUGS IN THIS COMMUNITY

Police Scotland Argyll & West Dunbartonshire

Do you have information on people selling drugs in your community?
We are often asked what we are doing about drug dealing. The answer is that we all need to work together to tackle the harm caused by drug dealing.
This starts with the help of the communities.
We need to gather intelligence on those causing harm through drug supply. This means we need people in our communities to provide information on what is happening and where.
Anyone can do this anonymously and in total confidence by calling or reporting online to Crimestoppers Scotland on 0800 555 111 or through https://ow.ly/UqeJ50PM0g9
You can, of course, report this directly to the Police either in person or through https://ow.ly/btMe50PM0g8
This intelligence can enable us to apply for a Drug Search Warrant, giving us legal power to enter and search.
We can then search for controlled drugs and other paraphernalia. We will then continue our investigation, which may involve taking statements, conducting interviews and sending recovered tablets to our forensic lab.
We may then report the circumstances to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscals Service and work with them to help keep communities safe from drug harm.
We also work with Argyll and Bute ADP, West Dunbartonshire Alcohol and Drug Partnerships and our Community Justice Partnerships, looking at early intervention, alternatives to prosecution and longer-term solutions.
Do your part to tackle harm caused by illegal drug supply.
May be an image of 1 person and text that says "NO DRUGS. Don't put up with it. Help put an end to it. Crime Stoppers. 0800 555 111 100% anonymous. Always. crimestoppers-uk.org"
