Jackie Baillie was delighted to host a group of candidates to Holyrood who are bidding to become Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament for Dumbarton and Clydebank & Milngavie constituencies.
The group observed First Minister’s Questions, with Deputy First Minister, Shona Robison before joining the Dumbarton constituency MSP for lunch.
Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar also joined the group to welcome them to the parliament after quizzing the Deputy First Minister on the NHS and the cost of living crisis.

Jackie Baillie said: “It was great to catch up with the young people who are hoping to represent the our area as Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament.
“I welcome their input and discussion about a wide range of issues including poverty and the climate crisis. It is extremely valuable to have young people help to shape opinion and form policy by engaging with decision makers.
“I hope they enjoyed their visit and gained some insight into the workings of the parliament as a result and I look forward to some of them becoming MSYPs in the autumn.”
