CELEBRITY FOOTBALLER: Ally McCoist caught speeding twice in one day

The former Rangers and Scotland legend was fined £510 for driving over the speed limit in Tarbet and Arrochar on the same day

The 61-year-old television football pundit appeared in the dock at Dumbarton’s Justice of the Peace court on Tuesday where he pled guilty to driving at excessive speed twice on January 6.

Prosecutors state he travelled at 48mph in Tarbet and 55mph in Arrochar, where both areas have a 30mph limit.

At the hearing, McCoist, of Bridge of Weir in Renfrewshire, was fined £200 for the Tarbet offence and £310 for the Arrochar incident.

His licence was also endorsed with four penalty points.  McCoist was given one month to pay the fine in full.
