Dumbarton recovered from back-to-back league defeats with a 3-1 win over Stranraer this afternoon.

That was despite the visitors taking the lead through Ben Armour however Sons responded before the break thanks to goals from Tony Wallace and Ryan Wallace.

Michael Ruth added number three after the break as Dumbarton jumped to third in cinch League Two.

Stevie Farrell’s side round off the final quarter of the season next Saturday when they travel to Clyde.
