SONS THROUGH IN SCOTTISH CUP
Sons were staring a cup shock in the face for much of the afternoon as goals from Hamish McLeod and Garry Wood had the Highland League side in control after 51 minutes.
Tony Wallace pulled one back from the spot for the hosts before a lengthy delay due to match official Ross Clark picking up an injury.
The game restarted 15 minutes later with Michael Ruth turning things around for Dumbarton as he netted on 97 and 102 minutes.
Sons managed to see the last few minutes out to get their name in the hat for the third round draw.
TRIP TO ANNAN IN CUP
Sons will make the trip to Galabank on the weekend of November 25.
Stevie Farrell’s side put their name in the hat after yesterdays 3-2 victory over Banks O’Dee and were handed the tie at Hampden Park this evening with the draw conducted by ex-Celtic and Scotland midfielder Scott Brown.

BANGIN PIZZA BACK ON BOARD

The pizza chain are based just a stone’s throw away from the Rock and provide authentic, fresh, wood-fired pizzas and snacks from Wednesday-Sunday.
The company will provide pizzas after matches to both teams on a match day at the Dumbarton Football Stadium and have also agreed to become the new shorts sponsor, as they have done in recent seasons.
First-team player Tony Wallace recently visited the establishment to learn how their pizzas are made, which you can watch on our Instagram account.
We are grateful to Bangin’ Pizza for their support and look forward to continuing this successful partnership with a local company.

A familiar face has returned to Dumbarton Football Club to take up a new post.
Douglas Fyffe, who has previously been with the club as a masseur between 2013 and 2015 and kit man in 2020 for a short spell, has taken on the role of administration assistant at the Dumbarton Football Stadium.
He will work alongside general manager Antonia Love and the rest of our hardworking office team.
Douglas replaces Karen Malcolm who officially joined the club at the start of the 2023/24 campaign and will now go on to take up a role with Ayr United.
Karen will remain part of our media team, including the running of our official TikTok account, where supporters can get a different look at the dressing room and find out more about their favourite players.
We wish Karen all the best in her new role and we look forward to welcoming her back to the Rock.
Quite a game, 5 goals, an injured referee, leading to a member of the crowd running the line for the last (delayed) 20 minutes & an admirable fightback from The Sons to edge out Banks o’ Dee.
Forgettable 1st half, entertaining 2nd half.
Well done The Sons
