Huge thanks again to Wilson, one of our core team members for another great run report 👏
Run Report
Event Number 124 – 11th November 2023
Following an overnight frost our early Volunteers had to treat a couple of areas of concern before Run Director Theresa declared the course as “runnable with care”. That clearly did not deter the thirteen of today’s field who went on to record new Personal Best times. Well done to all of them and indeed to all of the 92 who ran, jogged or walked and thankfully didn’t have to skate round a bright and sunny Levengrove.
Theresa’s intrepid Volunteer team today comprised: Kirsty Ormond, Maureen Byrne, Sharon Goldie, David Kennedy, David Duff, Paul Lyden, James Hunter, Wilson Hamilton, Emma Crawford, Joyce MacEwan, Gerry McElroy, Ann Crawford, Michael Leonardi, Elizabeth Divers, Oliver Thompson, Emily Forrest, Sophie Atkinson, Andy Goodhall, Jim Belk, Sebastian Bumbac and Aaron Gallacher. Well done and thank you as ever to each of them, particularly Michael, clocking up his 25th Volunteer stint.
We had a further three Milestone achievers today. Congratulations to Lily McBride, Kirsteen Hendren and Nicholas Gooding all completing their 25th parkrun.
Amongst our eleven First-Time visitors we welcomed tourists from Stirling and a posse from Victoria Park, including John and Amanda McDonald whose first visit to us took their
parkrun tallies to 230 and 156 respectively. Taking their first ever steps on their parkrun journey we had Kathryn Dalton, Jackie Wintersgill and Kerry Larkin. Well done and haste ye back all of you.
Hannah Cooper has now been leading Woman home on seven occasions, timed today at 22 mins 42 secs. She was followed home by today’s leading Junior Woman, Beth Holmes, one of those with a shiny new PB, 25:08. Next came another PB performer, Nuala Pover, in 25:43,
Leading finisher overall, for the sixth time, was Liam Madden in 19:02. He was followed by another PB performer, Matthew Cant, in 20:25 and Joseph Gurman in 20:30. Ross Atkinson of West Dunbartonshire AC was leading Junior Male in 24:21.
Details of all those PB performers, First-Timers and a complete event history can be found in this week’s full results here:
Andy Goodhall is our RD for next week. There are a variety of slots still to be filled on our Volunteer Roster – hopefully Grit Spreader not required. If you can help out it would be greatly appreciated – either drop your name in the Comments below or email us at
See you next week.
