BONHILL WIND FARM: Information Days which are open to all residents and groups

Lomond Radio tells us that Coriolis Energy has submitted plans for the Vale of Leven Wind Farm to the Scottish Government.
The company is holding Information Days which are open to all residents and groups and people can drop-in at any time to find out more about the application.

  1. What benefit to the local community.

    None to be precise. It’s all about corporate profit and zilch for ordinary Scots.

    In this case the corporate developer is the ESB. That’s the Republic of Ireland’s state owned electricity.

    Does Scotland have a state owned power company. Of course it doesn’t. International corporates own all of Scotland’s power generation.

    Indeed with Scotland now many times endowed with off shore wind generation, the power is now being shipped direct down to England by undersea inter connectors.

    And so as we all struggle to heat our homes and pay huge prices, the big question is what benefit to us these windfarms.
