I was honoured to contribute to the debate at the Scottish Parliament marking #16DaysOfActivism against Gender-Based Violence.I spoke about how our justice system has repeatedly failed to protect women and girls from perpetrators, and how my proposals for a Domestic Abuse Register will go a long way in tackling violence against women.

Meanwhile, I was delighted to meet Amber, Robyn and the team from Financially Included in the Scottish Parliament this afternoon marking #16DaysOfActivism to tackle violence against women and girls.They told me about the work they are doing to support victims of domestic and economic abuse.
Abusers use finances as a way to control their victims and it is a barrier for victims seeking to leave an abusive relationship.
They are a small organisation that has impacted lives in a massive way.
