BONNYRIGG ROSE 1 SONS 1 LATE NEWS: SONS NEW SIGNINGS

SONS EARN POINT ON THE ROAD

Dumbarton battled to a 1-1 draw against Bonnyrigg Rose this afternoon to bring a run of back-to-back defeats to an end.

Sons weren’t at the races in the first-half and went behind when Neil Martinyuk bulleted in a header with goalkeeper Jay Hogarth doing his best to keep his side in the game.

It was a different story after the break as Carlo Pignatiello got the visitors level early in the second period with Sons doing just about everything but score in the remainder of the half as they had shots saved by the goalkeeper, and when he was beaten efforts were cleared off the line.

Neither side could find a winner as Dumbarton register their first point of 2024 ahead of next weekend’s Scottish Cup clash with Rangers.
