Levengrove parkrun REPORT
Event Number 134 – 10th February 2024
On a fairly benign day compared to recent weather, Sharon Goldie in her First-Timers Brief welcomed 6 using their bar codes for the very first time and 11 tourists whose bar codes have been used more often, visiting from Johannesburg, Plymouth and Falkirk.
It was then on to Run Director Kirsty Ormond to get proceedings under way. But not without first congratulating a number of milestone achievements – it was Core Team Member and Timekeeper today Maureen’s Birthday, Jennifer Hall’s 25th parkrun and Jim Belk’s 25th Volunteer stint. Congratulations, well done and thank you all.
Kirsty, Sharon, Maureen and Jim were joined by a further 13 volunteers : Patrick Burns, Anna Napier, David Kennedy, Emily Moore, Paul Lyden, James Hunter, Wilson Hamilton, Emma Crawford, Gerry McElroy, Lawrence Malley, Sophie Atkinson, Lorraine MacLeod and Aileen Baird. You are all fabulous, thank you so much.
By the time the field of 109 had walked, jogged or run the course, 16 had recorded new Personal Best times. Congratulations to all of you.
