GOLDEN JUBILEE THEATRE TEAMS WISH HAZEL A HEART FELT FAREWELL

NHS Golden Jubilee Hospital theatres team said an emotional farewell to Senior Charge Nurse Hazel Colquhoun on her last day at work before retirement after a remarkable 45 years’ service in the NHS.

Hazel, who worked in cardiac theatres, was part of the team which carried out the first-ever heart transplant in Scotland back in 1992.
She said: “My NHS team is like having a second family, I have been with them through good and bad days, happy and sad journeys. They are what I will miss the most, but it’s time to pass on the baton.”
