Conservative MSP Pam Gosal has been on a visit to West College Scotland in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, to celebrate Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2024.
She told The Democrat: “I was delighted to visit West College Scotland Clydebank campus to see first hand the excellent work the BAE Systems and Babcock Future Talent engineering apprentices are doing.
“I had a detailed discussion with Evie who has excelled in her training so far and is looking forward to her future career upon completing the course.
“It is vital that we encourage more females, like Evie into engineering apprenticeships which has typically been a male-dominated field.
“It was great to hear such positive support from the Principal Liz Connolly on the apprenticeship programme at the college.”
