Man left in hospital after home invaded by four men in balaclavas in West Dunbartonshire

A man has been left in hospital after a property was invaded by four men in balaclavas during a “targeted attack” in West Dunbartonshire.

Emergency services were called to the Braehead area of Bonhill shortly after midnight on Saturday, after four men forced entry into a house and assaulted a man before stealing from him.

A 38-year-old man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. He was later discharged after treatment.

Inquiries remain ongoing at this time, and the police are looking for public assistance.

Detective constable Emma Chalk said: “Inquiries are ongoing to identify and trace the four men responsible for this attack, which we believe was targeted.

“If anyone witnessed anything that may assist our investigation, or has any information or personal footage, please contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 0211 of March 16.

“Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
