Children from Aitkenbar and St Peter’s Primary School in Bellsmyre got to experience life as a firefighter as part of their learning about the Emergency Services and exploring the wider world of work.
Excited pupils were thrilled to get a visit from Dumbarton Community Fire Station and use the fire hose, sit in the fire truck and learn about the equipment they use.
The children described the day as ‘the best day ever!’ It was a great experience for the children and has certainly inspired some of them to become a firefighter when they are older.
