STV News journalists are striking for a second time in an ongoing dispute over pay.
The industrial action comes after the latest offer put forward by the company was rejected by a majority of National Union of Journalists (NUJ) members.
There will be no STV News broadcast on Wednesday – including News at Six and Scotland Tonight.
Nick McGowan-Lowe, the NUJ’s national organiser for Scotland said that while the company had “showed willingness to engage with us to find a resolution” it was disappointing that journalists were again having to “head out of the newsrooms”.
An STV spokesperson said is was disappointing that the NUJ decided to proceed with the strike following discussions and an enhanced offer being made, and that it understood “almost half of NUJ members” had voted to accept the offer.
