A82 Dumbarton Road | Resurfacing

ESSENTIAL OVERNIGHT RESURFACING ON NORTHBOUND A82 DUMBARTON ROAD

BEGINS ON THURSDAY 16TH MAY

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential overnight resurfacing on the northbound A82 between Dumbarton Road and Dunglass Roundabout from Thursday 16th May until Thursday 23rd May.

The work will be carried out using overnight road closures between 10pm and 6am each night, and signed diversions will be in operation:

  • Northbound traffic from the A82 will turn at Mountblow Road to return south on the A82 and take the A810 Dumbarton Road through Clydebank to Baljaffray Road. Traffic will then continue to A809 Stockiemuir Road and head north, before turning left onto the A811 north of Croftamie and continue south-west to re-join the A82 at Balloch.
  • Traffic from the A898 Erskine Bridge will join the A82 Great Western Road southbound to take the A810 Dumbarton Road and follow the above diversion.

The A82 will be open as normal between 6am and 10pm each day.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

This scheme will benefit around 21,000 vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

We thank road users for their patience and co-operation while this essential work takes place.
