The Dumbarton Democrat received the following message today:
Hi all
At today’s court hearing [Councillor]Claire Steel has again refused to turn up next week so case has been dismissed. That’s the end of it. I am free from bail and the action.
Not unreasonable to suspect that the refusal/s to attend court were predicated on an unwillingness to give evidence under oath.
Lying under oath is a serious business. Tommy Sheridan was jailed for lying under oath.
