CHARITY: GARTOCHARN WAS BUZZING FOR THE BEATSON

Children in Gartocharn Campus enjoyed a fun filled day to raise money for Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Care Charity.
They were joined by family and friends and enjoyed a sponsored walk around the Gartocharn Loop and a family picnic afterwards. Everyone wore yellow or dressed in a ‘Bee’ theme to reflect the Beaton Bee mascot and add fun and cheer to the day!
So far, the Gartocharn Beatson Bee Bonanza Day has raised over £7000 for the charity.
Anne McKerry, Head Teacher of Gartocharn Primary School and Early Learning and Childcare Centre, said : ”We all had a wonderful day walking in the sunshine and enjoying the company of each other.
It was a special day, full of cheer and love. We hope that the money raised will impact positively on families affected by cancer. — “We would like to thank every member of our community who supported this event and for their very generous donations.”
Buzzing for the Beatson – Gartocharn children enjoy their day.
