More than 220 people gathered at Levengrove Park for a special event to pay tribute to F1 legend Sir Jackie Stewart and his wife, Lady Helen, who have done so much to raise funds for Dementia charities.
Pupils from St Michael’s Primary School in the West End of Dumbarton were among those who took part in the 1973 metre walk, representing the year in which Sir Jackie, born and bred in Dumbarton, won his third and final championship. As well as honouring Sir Jackie as he turned 85, the event also raised awareness and support for his charity foundation Race Against Dementia. Well done to all involved.
