Quality Strategy Approved
Professor Angela Wallace, pictured, Executive Nurse Director, presented the draft Quality Strategy Quality Everyone Everywhere which sets out a clear vision for how we will work together across all areas of service to ensure people experience high-quality individualised, person-centred care.
The strategy builds on our current strengths and recognises the improvements made over the period during and since the pandemic. It takes a collaborative and new approach to support person-centred care in an environment of financial and sustainability challenges.
This shared vision has been coproduced with both the people who use our services and those who work within them. Key areas of focus and deliverables have come directly from extensive and iterative co-design and co-creation using multiple formats, events, networks, surveys, and groups. Board members commended the innovative approach to co-production and recommended this approach for future strategy development.
The Board approved the strategy, noting that an implementation plan will now be developed.

Sandra Devine, Director of Infection Prevention and Control, presented the Healthcare Associated Infection Report (HAIRT) and the first Infection Prevention and Control Annual Report which includes a broader look at education, audit and the built environment.

The Chair, on behalf of the Board, thanked staff for working to maintain a high standard of IPC precautions in their daily practice and paid tribute to Sandra Devine and the IPC team for all that they do to keep patients, staff and service users safe.
Annual Delivery Plan approved
Dr Jennifer Armstrong, Medical Director, and Director of Planning, Claire McArthur, presented the draft Annual Delivery Plan.
The Plan was developed by staff across the whole system, facilitated by the Planning Team. It has been developed in line with Scottish Government guidance and with the Board’s Operational Priorities.
The Scottish Government provided feedback on our draft plan on 14th May 2024. They confirmed that they are satisfied that our delivery plan meets their requirements and provides them with assurance.
They welcomed the approach taken by NHSGGC to develop our service delivery and financial planning in an integrated way and noted that the NHSGGC Delivery Plan 24/25 is in line with the priorities of NHS Scotland and the Scottish Government.
The Board approved the Annual Delivery Plan, which is also aligned to our Financial and Workforce Plans.
