The annual West Dunbartonshire Leisure Fun Run, sponsored by Complete Paving Requirements Ltd (CPR), took place on Saturday 15th June. This event takes place just before the start of the Run Loch Lomond 10k and 5k races and is open to all primary aged children, pre-schoolers and even babies in buggies!
This year over 500 children registered to take part – an event record – with entrants receiving a Fun Run t-shirt, race number and medal for participating and getting the opportunity to be part of a fantastic fun sporting event.
Prizes were awarded to the small, medium and large primary schools with the highest number of Fun Run participants based on school roll. This year’s winners were Gartocharn, Christie Park and Balloch Primary Schools.
Staff and pupils from all 3 winning schools were delighted to be presented with their Fun Run shields by CPR Commercial Director Laura Molloy and Yvonne Macdonald, Active Schools Coordinator for West Dunbartonshire Leisure.
