Havoc is feeling the love again, as the Friends make huge progress protecting the site’s biodiversity from the balsam threat. A big thank you to these truly lovely folk who volunteered so far.
It’s easy to see why people love this place.

Pity about the two toxic landfill dumps discharging foul poisonous orange coloured leachate all over the foreshore.
The filth can be seen by anybody who walks along the shore at the locations where public coups were used until the 1980s.
But check out the council’s statutory register of landfill sites. The two tips that some older folks remember is not recorded. Out of site, out of mind. Certainly makes one wonder why there are such high levels of cancer in the area.
