West Dunbartonshire Libraries

The Big Scottish Book Club makes a welcome return to our televisions tomorrow night on BBC Scotland at 7.30 pm. Guests in the first episode of this new series include Jackie Kay, discussing her new poetry collection May Day. Entertainer and children’s writer Julian Clary celebrates 10 years of The Bolds, his six-book series about a family of hyenas who try to live as humans. International bestselling author Elif Shafak will be talking about her latest novel, There are Rivers in the Sky. There will be six episodes and you too can take part – we have copies of the books that will be featuring in each episode. How many of them can you read? The books are available from Alexandria, Clydebank, Dalmuir and Dumbarton Libraries. There should be something to suit all tastes with future guests including Christopher Brookmyre, Sarah Perry and Andrew O’Hagan, PICTURED TOP OF PAGE.
