It’s National #EyeHealthWeek and we are promoting the importance of good eye health.
Last year our Eye Centre carried out 11,752 cataract procedures, a record number.  As one of the largest cataract centres in the UK, we perform cataract surgery for patients from all over Scotland. We strive to continually improve out practice and pathways to make sure patients see the right healthcare professional at the right time.
Cataract surgery is life-changing for our patients and we are committed to providing the highest standard of care. From patient feedback received, 100% of patients are happy with the information they receive prior to visiting the centre and 98% believe the flow through clinic is efficient.
Dr Sumona McLaughlin said: “We have been successfully training the next generation of cataract surgeons and will continue to do so with new and exciting technologies in the future.”
