Meet Our Hospice Heroes: Agnes and Thérèse
Today, we are celebrating two wonderful volunteers who make a big difference at St Margaret of Scotland Hospice.
Agnes – Our Fundraising Champion
For 10 years, Agnes has been an incredible support to our fundraising team. With a background in administration, she brings valuable skills to our team. Agnes finds great fulfilment in her role:
“It feels as if you’ve got some worth and that you’re valued. When I am talking to people on the phone, I hear from those who have had relatives in the hospice. They speak so highly of it, and you’re able to share with them.”
Thérèse – The Heart of Our Hospice Shop
Thérèse runs our shop in the Hospice two afternoons a week. Her reason for volunteering is beautifully simple:
“I enjoy being of use to people any way I can be. There’s a good feeling about the place.”
Both Agnes and Thérèse find joy in supporting our Hospice community. Thérèse loves “meeting the different kind of people,” while Agnes values the meaningful connections she makes.
