You descend, of course, into a gorgeously appointed bar at Equipment Room. The one you dream of when you travel. It’s also a listening room, padded and protected from the outside world. Classic vinyl is playing on the best equipment your money can’t buy. Cocktails are shaken, stirred and delivered from masters of the art and the artful customers are all ears. It’s a lovely evening “listening intentionally” to Moon Safari by Air in possibly the best bar in the world.

Then it’s Vintage R&B from big “country” star Nathaniel Rateliffe at the Moody Centre. Audience of about 15,000 fans and almost no phones out during the whole show. The O2, The Albert Hall and Wembley would have been a veritable solar system of phone lights. An unexpected cultural difference….
Not sure I’ll remember The Alamo… .
