Kaur Sutherland Celebrates One-Year Anniversary of Partnership with O’Hare Solicitors

By Bill Heaney

Kaur Sutherland, a prominent Scots law firm specialising in property transactions, is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its merger with O’Hare Solicitors.

The firm operates offices in Glasgow, Dumbarton, and Lenzie, providing legal services in conveyancing, commercial property, wills and power of attorney.

With over 40 years of experience in legal services, Gerry O’Hare has dedicated his career to providing excellent legal advice and services to clients across Dunbartonshire. Established in 2009, O’Hare Solicitors has built a strong reputation in the local community.

The merger has reinforced the team in Dumbarton, significantly strengthening the firm’s estate management and conveyancing offerings. This has allowed Gerry to focus on his estate law speciality, while Jatinder Kaur now handles conveyancing at the Dumbarton office.

Gerry O’Hare said: “I’ve seen firsthand the evolution of legal services. Law firms across the
UK are facing challenges in recruiting and retaining staff. The increased pressure on conveyancers
to accelerate transactions has significantly added to their workload, making it especially
challenging to attract and keep the right people.”

“This partnership not only enhances our capabilities but also ensures we continue delivering exceptional advice and support to our clients. Our combined strengths allow us to navigate the complexities of today’s market more effectively.”

Jatinder Kaur, Partner and Head of the Residential Conveyancing, added: “We’ve worked hard to
maintain the strengths of both firms. Gerry’s estate expertise, paired with our conveyancing
services, offers clients the best of both worlds.

“The merger has increased our manpower in Dumbarton, positioning us to meet the growing demands of the industry, and I’m excited for what lies ahead for Kaur Sutherland.”
