Proud pupils from Christie Park Primary School in Alexandria visited the Christie Park Cenotaph to plant their handmade poppies to mark Remembrance Day. Pupils from the school choir also took part in the Remembrance Parade, leading the singing at the service with the hymn Abide With Me.
Following the service in Christie Park they entertained veterans, families and friends at the Boy’s Brigade Hall singing a range of post war classic songs, including Kiss Me Goodnight; It’s a Long Way to Tipperary and We’ll Meet Again.
