Share your experience to help develop vision for palliative and end of life care

Everyone will be affected by illness, poor health, dying and bereavement during their lives.

If you are comfortable in doing so, we want to hear from you if you are currently caring or have cared for a someone at the end of their life, or if you personally are receiving palliative care.

Your stories, which will be kept confidential and handled with sensitivity, will help us shape and develop NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s (NHSGGC) vision for palliative and end of life care.

Palliative care helps people of all ages and backgrounds. It focuses on quality of life and wellbeing for the person, their family, those who are important to them and the things that matter most to that individual.

Types of support provided might include:

  • Managing your symptoms
  • Looking after your mental health and wellbeing
  • Talking with family
  • Practical help and advice
  • Spiritual care and support
  • Planning for the future

Experiences can be shared by using our story template which has some questions here.

If you would prefer to speak to someone in person, please email using this address: ggc.public.involvement@nhs.scot. We will then arrange to phone you at a day and time that suits you.

In particular, we would like to hear from anyone living in the NHSGGC area who is currently receiving palliative or end of life care and also from those who have cared for someone who has died in the NHSGGC area, especially in the last three years.

The information you provide will help us shape our vision for palliative and end of life care and all information you share will be anonymised and stored securely.
