PAM GOSAL MSP CONGRATULATES OLD KILPATRICK FOOD PARCELS

Pam Gosal MSP says she was delighted to present West Dunbartonshire Deputy Lieutenant Maureen Cummings and her team at Old Kilpatrick Food Parcels with a Parliamentary motion certificate, congratulating them on receiving the Kings Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS).
Highlighting the tremendous effort of the volunteers who support the organisation, she was given a tour of the refurbished building, meeting volunteers, staff and service users.
Pam said: “I understand that over 10,000 meals were served last year along with 200 Christmas boxes and 400 pet meals, saving around 10 tons of food from going to landfill, any remaining food is sent to local farms.
“I wish the entire team every success for its future community based projects with facilities which include a popular community cafe, meeting and event space, laundry facilities and soon to be expanded community cook school.”
