PAM GOSAL MSP CONGRATULATES OLD KILPATRICK FOOD PARCELS

Pam Gosal MSP says she was delighted to present West Dunbartonshire Deputy Lieutenant Maureen Cummings and her team at Old Kilpatrick Food Parcels with a Parliamentary motion certificate, congratulating them on receiving the Kings Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS).
Highlighting the tremendous effort of the volunteers who support the organisation, she was given a tour of the refurbished building, meeting volunteers, staff and service users.
Pam said: “I understand that over 10,000 meals were served last year along with 200 Christmas boxes and 400 pet meals, saving around 10 tons of food from going to landfill, any remaining food is sent to local farms.
“I wish the entire team every success for its future community based projects with facilities which include a popular community cafe, meeting and event space, laundry facilities and soon to be expanded community cook school.”

  1. Looks like we’ll be needing more than food parcels soon in Sir Keir Starmers new Britain.

Here’s an interesting report of an address that Sir Keir Starmer has just made.

” Prime minister Keir Starmer has doubled down on his government’s controversial plans to introduce farm inheritance tax, set to take effect in April 2026.

In an interview with ITV News West Country, Sir Keir addressed growing concerns from farmers and rural communities, defending the move as necessary for the long-term sustainability of public services, including the NHS and schools ”

As statements go this is utterly concerning because it now seems clear that inheritance tax on not just farms, but on people’s houses, together with hugely increased taxation of everything from pensions to wages, to the cutting of benefits like heating for the elderly is now a prerequisite for the continuance of not just the NHS but even the very delivery of schooling.

Indeed, when you look around and see what you see, and read pronouncements like this, you do wonder where the money is going in this country and what state we are actually in.

To suggest that school education, and not just the NHS is at risk is absolutely shocking.

    Broken Britain indeed..
