Friends of Dumbarton Foreshore clean up with record 57 bags of litter

Friends of Dumbarton Foreshore
The brilliant #beatthestreet came to our pick on Sunday! Thank you to all the lovely families joining in, who picked a new record of 57 bags of litter while scoring double points on the Beat Box! Linda found Mr Bump, Lucie found a vintage Smarties lid, Dylan found a 25 year old crisp packet and Margaret found our 65th rubber duck – well done and thank you to all.

  1. Good stuff, great stuff. Just shows that there are people who care about the environment and are prepared to clean up debris.

Unfortunately the vast majority of people are not bothered about waste. And with particular regard to plastic, a huge source of pollution, the industry is happy for ever more plastic to be produced.

Our waste needs dealt with at source.

And all these years our council telling us they were recycling when all the time huge amounts of waste was just being dumped in Auchencarroch.

    And washed down the Clyde.
