Despite these horrifying statistics and the fact Police Scotland state that West Dunbartonshire has the second highest levels of domestic abuse in Scotland the council have backtracked on the funding they guaranteed us until 2027. They have already stated our funding will be cut by at least £42,000 and potentially even further or may even withdraw it all together. This will significantly impact the level of support we can provide to women in the community and potentially our long-term future.
