It was lovely to join members of the community in Old Kilpatrick to mark 80 years since VE Day, at a commemorative service organised by Old Kilpatrick Community Council 
We laid a beautiful bouquet of flowers and lit up a Peace Lantern in honour of the occasion.
Today, I’m remembering all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom and democracy we so often take for granted.
