What Matters To You? Day – Having conversations that matter

This week marks What Matters To You? Day, an annual celebration putting people at the heart of their care or support.

Many countries around the world participate in the event, which is held at the beginning of June each year and encourages everyone to have meaningful conversations about what matters to them.

These conversations can empower people to be involved in decision-making about their own health and care, improving their outcomes.

As part of this, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is holding three sessions for members of the public and health and social care staff to help build confidence in approaching important conversations with friends, family and those they support in the workplace.

There are two sessions on What Matters To You? Day (Tuesday, 3rd June), in the morning and evening, on ‘Having Conversations That Matter’.

An afternoon session titled ‘Plan More Stress Less’ has been planned for tomorrow afternoon, from 2.00-3.00pm.

This will cover all you need to know about getting yourself, and those you support, prepared for any unexpected event including a hospital admission, such as helpful paperwork, what to bring, and post-discharge support.

To attend any of these discussions, which will all be held on Microsoft Teams, please book via the links below:
