Dumbarton man Francis Cummings’ retirement concert surprise from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

On Sunday, the Junior Conservatoire Music students and staff came together alongside some special guests in a surprise concert for Dumbarton man Francis Cummings, who will be retiring from his role as Head of Junior Conservatoire – Music.
With performances from students, Francis himself, as well as from patron Nicola Benedetti, it was a wonderful send-off to mark Francis’s outstanding leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to nurturing young musicians since joining RCS in 2018. He will be deeply missed by colleagues, students, and the wider RCS community.
